* Richmond Terrace, 29 Sep: 'Big party'

(23009) Complaint about noise from a student flat in Richmond Terrace, Clifton, on 29 September 2023.

Resident wrote to UoB: "Last Friday there was a big party in the flat and and increasing numbers of young people gathered in our (Private) Communal Gardens throughout the evening with music, dancing, screaming and yelling, until they left the garden at around midnight. I did text [Operation] Beech around that time but they haven't confirmed whether they attended.

"Dozens of residents were affected by the noise, the lawn was damaged and garden furniture broken. Someone must've had the code to access the gate, presumably a resident, and the gate was left unlocked all night until discovered in the morning.

"A neighbour had knocked on the door of [xx] around 8pm when it was already noisy and there were groups of students on the street."
