* Lansdown, 18 Jul: 'No idea how disruptive'

(21020) Complaint about noise disturbance at a property in Lansdown Road on 18 July 2021.

Resident reported to UoB that "after a day of almost continual loud talking in the back and front gardens of various student houses" he heard loud music from around 11.00pm, and went out half an hour later to investigate.

" ...I find another neighbour doing exactly the same. We finally track down a party in full swing in the back garden of [x] Lansdown Road. After several minutes of banging on the door it was answered by a young man and two young women who confirmed they were UoB students, and they were the tenants. Incredibly, they professed to having no knowledge of the university's request that they be considerate neighbours, and worse, they had no understanding of just how disruptive their behaviour was. That is, until I pointed out to them just how loud they were ..."

He then discovered there was another noisy gathering taking place in Stanley Road (see separate report).
