* Lansdown, 1 Sep: 'Relentless disturbance'
(21042) A resident has complained to UoB about frequent noise disturbance involving students at two properties on opposite sides of Lansdown Road, most recently on 1 September 2021.
The resident says: "Throughout July each house regularly had noisy groups of students, and noisy comings and goings between the two. They treated the road as an extension of both houses, often shouting across at each other, or standing in the road having group chats. It was bad enough in the day when trying to concentrate, but when it went on through the night it became increasingly intolerable. ...
"[On 1 September] it started about 4.00am with a girl sitting on the steps of [xx] Lansdown and singing. She sang for about 10 minutes, which was the prelude to over two hours of disruption with students noisily talking in the street and moving between [xx] and [xx]. There were groups of students gathered in both houses, with windows wide open, talking loudly and behaving as if it was the middle of the afternoon. There was little regard for people trying to sleep, and [it] went on till after 6.00am.
"This relentless disturbance is not conducive to anyone's health...."
