* Cotham Vale, 10 Jul: 'Party loud till 7am'
(21013) Two residents have complained to UoB about a student party in Cotham Vale that lasted from mid-afternoon on Saturday, 10 July 2021, until 7am the following morning.
Resident1 wrote: "Our neighbourhood was significantly impacted by the selfish behaviour of the newly arrived residents of [xx] Cotham Vale, who I believe are [your] students. They were playing music in the garden at such a volume that it wasn’t possible for us to go into our garden for most of yesterday afternoon [and] evening.
"Our house in Trelawney Road backs onto Cotham Vale and the gardens are close together so any loud noise outside is shared with many other houses. ... The noise during the afternoon was bad enough, but it continued into the evening with more people joining the party, which went on until at least 7a.m."
Resident2 said: " ....the five men were blasting out drum'n bass from the roof of their extension (in our faces) from mid afternoon until 9pm. ... Later there were guests of both sexes round and the party continued loudly until 7am. I don't think I slept at all, despite earplugs."
In an email to me, Resident1 also mentioned "shouting and screaming in the garden" at another house in Cotham Vale during the afternoon of Saturday.
