* Clyde Park, 2 Dec: Third complaint
(21090) Another complaint has been made about noise problems at a student property in Clyde Park—the third time neighbours have contacted UoB since July 2021.
In the most recent case, a resident wrote to UoB to report "yelling and shrieking in the road" shortly before midnight on 2 December 2021.
She says the property has been a student house for "probably 20 years, during which time I have never once even considered complaining about the occasional noise or incident. Most of us have been students, as have our children, and we wish to live co-operatively alongside one another. However, the group who moved into [the address] in July are a whole different kettle of fish and sometimes behave in an appallingly inconsiderate manner."
She refers to two previous incidents, in July and October (see links below), before adding:
"Since then ...I've frequently been woken in the middle of the night by loud voices, shouting, laughter etc. There was another incident of yelling and shrieking in the road last night shortly before midnight for half an hour or more. The students seem to have no understanding of how much sounds travels, particularly outdoors or when the windows are open and at night."
