* Ashgrove, 5 July: Loud music at 1am

Andrew Waller

(S003) Loud music and shouting from top floor of student property on north side of Ashgrove Road between 1am and 1-30am on Sunday, 5 July.

This was observed and recorded by me. The windows were open, allowing beat music to spill into the street along with the sound of people trying to converse over the music. Numbers in attendance: probably small.

There was also occasional disturbance on the same night from two student houses opposite. A resident who lives in the street says he was disturbed by noise from the two properties at around 1am. He sent a complaint to UoB and the managing agents, Flatline. (Email, 5 July 2020 16:04.)

Another resident said he'd spoken to students at one of the properties earlier, and had no further disturbance on this occasion. (He did, however, have problems a day or two later. See later entry for Ashgrove.)
